Privacy Policy
Danger
respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy statement explains what
information we gather from you and how we use that information. We
consider the information you have shared with us strictly confidential
and will use that information only as specified in this Privacy Policy
or to the extent necessary to comply with applicable law.
1. Information We Gather and How We Use It
There are times when we may ask you to provide personal information.
Information collected may include, among other things, your name,
physical address, e-mail address, phone number, etc. We gather this
information to register you as a member of the Danger community, to
provide you with the services you may have requested (catalog requests,
newsletter subscription requests), and to periodically notify you of
important news and announcements.
2. Information We May Disclose
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal contact information to
anyone. We do not share your information with any of our partners
unless we are requested to to so by you.
3. Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to
information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and
persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the
browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small
text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period of
time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser
help file directions. By setting a cookie on our site, users would not
have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on
our site. If users reject the cookie, they may still use our site. The
only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some areas of
our site. Persistent cookies enable us to track and target the
interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.
4. Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes
internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service
provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp,
and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track
user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use. We use a tracking utility that uses log
files to analyze user movement.
5. Security
Our Web site has certain security measures in place in effort to
protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our
control.
